The July 2025 release of TSANet Connect 2.0 adds Secure File Transfer! TSANet Connect allows Members to connect their Secure File Transfer methods to TSANet Connect enabling other members to send them files with the approved method. An overview of this feature is below:
- For uploading a file “TO” a member. Example: Logs.
- Members have the option to connect their inbound file transfer method – TSANet enables a custom endpoint for Authentication and file location information
- Files are directly sent to the Members system (TSANet does not store files)
- TSANet Method – TSANet will also have a default method that Members can enable in the future
- Note: Members can also use links in a note for files that are publicly available (Example: Download this Patch, View the Article)
Implementation Overview
The image below shows how this solution is designed. TSANet worked with Cisco as the lead Member to ensure the solution had the flexibility to connect to existing file transfer solutions. The solution includes 3 parts.
Client Functionality: The WebApp and all TSANet Designed System Connectors have this functionality. After making a request the backend communicates if file transfer is enabled and the configuration details. This allows the system to authenticate and place the file in the collect location.
Integration Framework: File attachment configuration is sent as part of the response and a route to allows the client to connect to the custom endpoint defined by the Member. This allows the client to place the file directly to the Member without storing it on TSANet systems
Custom Endpoints: When the Member is onboarded to Connect 2.0 through a system connector or Customer API a endpoint is enabled to their approved file storage solution. TSANet will also provide a default method that can be configured if the member does not have an existing secure file transfer solution.
